Who are we?
We're a couple of engineering students from Pune, India who are trying to make a device, a notebook, that will satisfy all the needs of a typical home user.
Technologies we want to use,
Nvidia Tegra offers a good SOC for us to make such a device. We're working on tweaking the linux kernel's, and building some custom applications in the process.
We have received acknowledgment from some of the top CEO's in India already. The talks for funding and management support are already underway.
Currently we're hoping to get hands on the Nvidia Tegra chips asap, this would allow us to test our software and optimise it meet the needs of such a device.
We're talking HD play back on a 15inch , custom UI and lots more on a device that would be in the $300-$400 ( about 20,00INR) range.
